Randi pretends she doesn't know Meg and even calls her Mrs "Jackson". Marty is appalled at the frosty reception Meg gives Randi and takes "Jenny" off to dinner somewhere else. Cass and Pixie help themselves to Lizzie's grog, but Phyllis and Francis intervene to collect protection money. Rosemary's friend Bill visits Driscoll (though he seems to be at least twice her age). Joyce finds a shampoo bottle of grog on the floor in Pixie's bed. Joan trie sto blame Lizzie and Pixie pretends she found the shampoo bottle in the showers. Meg tries to hint to Marty that "Jenny" isn't the right girl for him, but he tells her he's already thinking of proposing to her. Joan takes Pixie and Lizzie to Ann with the shampoo bottle as evidence, but they both deny any knowledge of it. Nevertheless, their priveleges are suspended. Cass asks Sonia to let her use the press to see what it's like, but surrenders it back to her after trying it out. Joan collects the women from the laundry for a cell search. The reporter Clive Featherstone gets a reply from Pixie and goes to meet her at Wentworth. Joan reports to Ann that nothing was found in the cell search and says she suspects the drink must have been the last of an old batch. Phyllis meanwhile is taking taking more orders for grog but Cass won't buy. Lizzie tries to claim "staff discount" but Sonia rules it out. Pixie admits she's written to several different men, all as "the man for her". Rosemary tells Wally that Bill has proposed to her, so she's going back to the country where she feels useful. Pixie's respondents turn up at Wentworth: six in all, all of them claiming to be her "fiance": Clive Featherstone flippantly suggests they toss a coin for her. Cass refuses to take over as top dog when Pixie and Lizzie hint they need a little help aganist Sonia: she says she hates violence and won't have anything to do with it. Petra tells the women she has been granted permission to marry Scott and Sonia toasts her in illicit booze. Colleen advises Meg to deal with Randi by letting her think she's told Marty about her. Pixie sees her suitors one by one, but picks out the wrong man as the reporter when she sees he has a notebook and pens in his top pocket, so she talks too freely to the real one. However, Clive seems to realise that Pixie is genuine and too naive to be the subject of the story he came to write. Sonia warns Joan that Pixie and Lizzie are trying to win Cass over to their side, so Joan goes to them and warns them they won't install Cass as top dog. Lizzie pretends a heart problem so she is given "a bit of light dusting" to do in the Governor's office and steals some of her brandy for the wedding cake. Rosemary goes back home with Bill. Ann phones Wally to tell him the police have picked up Judy. Cass snaps and nearly punches Phyllis when she calls her a "halfwit". Meg tries to warn Randi off, but she coolly replies that she intends to marry Marty and nothing Meg can do will stop her.
