  • Joan sits up all night in a chair in the lounge with a gun to protect Jenny. Jenny is determined to go to the lawyer's office to sort out the details of her father's will: Joan offers to go with her. Rita makes an approach to Merle to undermine Janet's attempt to use her. Ann asks Kath about her talk in her sleep about Joan and Merle, but Kath tries to deny there is anything wrong and she asks to go back to her cell with Merle. Jenny lets Joan know she has noticed a car following her and Joan: Joan directs her to drive straight to a police station. Jenny is outraged and upset that she wasn't told the full circumstances of her fathers' death and after Inspector Grace has disposed of her by reducing her to tears, he demands that Joan tell him the whole story. Kath returns to her cell and refuses to help Janet to get back at Rita. Joan is forced to admit to arranging one drug drop, and Grace threatens to send her "up the river" if she doesn't tell him all she knows about Parker's organisation. Janet complains to Roach that her bank drafts bounced and demands information about Rita's plans if she can't pay up. Ann tells Meg that all outstanding remand prisoners, including Kath, are going to trial as the courts have caught up with a previous backlog. Roach tries Lexie for some handy hints about how to raise money in prison, without much success. Lorelei gives a makeup class with the women bringing their own materials and sharing: Merle is initially laughed at for bringing a bottle of baby oil, but she manages to persuade Kath to join in too. Janet finds she cannot even rely on Vicki for support. Joan is asked to visit Parker with only a bugged locket to collect taped evidence against him: but when he gives her a gun to put in her handbag to be found, she has to hand over the one she has already taken from the prison armoury. Roach tries to earn money by asking Lexie (alias Spiderbitch ) to teach her how to win at cards. Joan visits Parker, but has difficulty getting him to incriminate himself while he is actually facing her and the locket can pick up his voice. Joyce and Mervin send a holiday postcard, which Marty reads aloud in a passable French accent to Alice's delight. Joan forces Parker's hand by threatening to walk out of his office and he duly admits to having Andrew killed. Roach decides poker is too difficult and decides to sell information to Rodney about non-existent drugs. Rita gives Janet a forcible makeover when Alice reports what she is doing. Inspector Grace decides to hold on for more information but feedback reveals Joan's bug, and she is held at gunpoint until Inspector Grace talks Parker into giving himself up. Marty catches Janet trying to clean off the witch/Hulk makeup the women have given her . Roach approaches Rodney with an offer of information about drugs and offers to get him a sample as proof. Inspector Grace tells Parker that Joan was working undercover all the time so he at least has no hold over her, but keeps her incriminating statement for future use. Roach takes advantage of the temporary cook and steals parsley from the kitchen, and dries it in a pillow case in the drier. Rodney gloats to Marty about how good his training record will look. Janet spills dirty water on Rodney's trousers to get him out of the way while she rips up all Merle's comics to blame on Rita. Kath pleads with her that Merle will be sent away if she gets in trouble, but Janet is too concerned with her plans to become the next top dog.

Inspector Grace seems to be working for the Family Court of Australia, to judge from the poster behind him .
