The man who relays a message to Ann at the conference table (unless he is the mysterious "Attendant"?)
Alice worries where Rita has gone. Meg accuses Joan of taking advantage of Ann's absence. Ann embarrasses the Minister by mentioning reform projects at the conference, but is called away to the phone by Meg. Sarah sees Rita being transferred and tells the women: Alice is put on the spot, but Spider and Vicki decide to support her and declare a strike. Ann arrives back and is outraged. Kath leads some of the women back to work, as Alice leads a protest. Joan tells Kath she will be top dog again. Ann talks to the protesters and orders that the women are to be locked in their cells. Rita gets her first sight of Blackmoor : she fails to send on an imaginary white line at induction and is sent to the pound . Governor Craven tells Brumby she will be sharing a cell with Rita. The Minister refuses to transfer Rita back. The women at Blackmoor listen to Rita's fight with the officers. Alice proposes a hunger strike. Joan gives Kath her orders, and Kath drops a plate in Alice's lap to provoke a confrontation: Joan takes them both outside and arranges a fight between them, then gives Kath some lead to make a cosh. Sarah asks Pamela to visit Rita in Blackmoor. Brumby tells Rita about Roo Morgan, the top dog at Blackmoor. Alice and Kath fight in the laundry and Alice is knocked out almost immediately. Kath is voted in as top dog. Pamela is denied permission to see Rita by Craven. Rita sees Bongo as the male prisoners are led through the exercise yard : Brumby tells her he's been in Blackmoor for about 3 weeks and is a junkie being fed dope by Roo Morgan.
